New Board Members and Contributing Editors at Dissent
We are pleased to welcome three new editorial board members to Dissent. Leo Casey is the Executive Director of the Albert Shanker Institute as well as a long-time friend and contributor to the magazine. Sarah Jaffe is an accomplished labor journalist, a contributing editor at In These Times, and co-host of the Belabored podcast. Kate Losse is prominent thinker on culture and technology and author of The Boy Kings: A Journey into the Heart of the Social Network.
We also welcome two new contributing editors. Atossa Araxia Abrahamian, an editor at Al Jazeera America and the New Inquiry, is a leading voice on questions of citizenship, borders, and international regulation. Madeleine Schwartz, a member of the New York Review of Books editorial staff, has published widely on culture and theory surrounding gender, sex, and the family.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that Dissent associate editor emeritus Sarah Leonard, who joined the Nation as a senior editor last month, will continue to bring her talents to Dissent as a contributing editor.
